Hi all this article is related to Smartforms and for those who are familiar to Smartforms text editor and due to changes or update in ECC, Smartforms text editor convert in Word edit.
How to change from MS Word editor to standard Smartforms text editor in Smartforms in ECC. Transaction code I18n but there are no any checkbox to turn off but only to activate word editor.
We have two way to Enable or disable Word Edit in SAP Smartforms Editor By Transaction Code I18N and Program Code RSCPSETEDITOR.

Enable or Disable Word Edit in SAP Smartforms Editor
To Enable or Disable Word Edit in SAP Smartforms Editor we have two method one is by Transaction code I18N (Internationalization) and other one in by Program Code which is provided by SAP itself (RSCPSETEDITOR). In this article below we will discuss both way one by one.
I18N Internationalization in SAP
I18N Internationalization in SAP : I18N Transaction code is used to Configure language, Printing settings, Troubleshooting Tools, International standard reference like language, Country Codes, Code Pages etc.
Below are the steps to Enable or disable word edit in SAP Smartforms editor using I18N.
STEP-1.) Enter the Transaction Code I18N in command box.
STEP-2.) I18N (Internationalization) screen will appear here you have to open the hierarchy I18N Customizing from I18N Menu.
STEP-3.) in I18N Customizing click on MS Word as Editor.
STEP-4.) Now you will get a screen asking to select any check box from SAP SCRIPT and SMARTFORMS, Here you will select if you want to enable or uncheck if you want to disable.
RSCPSETEDITOR
RSCPSETEDITOR : RSCPSETEDITOR is a program name which we will use to enable or disable the MS Word edit in Smartforms and SAP script. This program is also using the same class which we will use in transaction code I18N (Internationalization).
Below are the steps to Enable or disable word edit in SAP Smartforms editor using RSCPSETEDITOR.
STEP-1.) Enter Transaction code SE38 in command box.
STEP-2.) Now ABAP Editor initial screen will open here you have to enter program name “RSCPSETEDITOR” and execute the same.
STEP-3.) Now you will get a screen asking to select any check box from SAP SCRIPT and SMARTFORMS, Here you will select if you want to enable or uncheck if you want to disable then click on activate button like shown in below picture.
MS Word is a default editor now. Please read SAP Note 742662
By using I18N system responding is “MS Word is a default editor now. Please read SAP Note 742662” message will appear. This message is appear after SAP Note 742662 was implemented. To Solve the same issue we will use the Program “RSCPSETEDITOR“.
Steps to use program RSCPSETEDITOR to enable or disable word edit in SAP Smartforms and SAP Script.
STEP-1.) Enter Transaction code SE38 in command box and open ABAP Editor initial screen.
STEP-2.) Now ABAP Editor initial screen will open here you have to enter program name “RSCPSETEDITOR” and execute the same.
STEP-3.) Now you will get a screen asking to select any check box from SAP SCRIPT and SMARTFORMS, Here you will click checked in check boxes if you want to enable or uncheck if you want to disable then click on activate button shown in toolbar.
